5 UEFA Europa League Bets

The UEFA Europa League selections were the ones that included a couple of big wins:

Manchester United to Beat Real Sociedad (2.29)

This fixture would have been a dead-certain in the Ferguson era, and you’d struggle to get anywhere near 2.00. But these days, the Red Devils are not the formidable force they once were. Still, they managed to win here, with Garnacho netting after 17 minutes before the away side held on to the win.

AS Monaco to Beat FK Crvena Zvezda (1.55)

Monaco took the lead after just 5 minutes, courtesy of Kevin Volland, and it was all plain sailing from there. The French team was 3-0 up after 50 minutes before Volland completed a hat-trick in the last few minutes to win 4-1.

Feyenoord +0.5 vs Lazio (1.45)

With the handicap in place, this bet would have been successful even if it ended 0-0. As a result, Steph*** would have no doubt breathed a sigh of relief when Feyenoord scored first, giving them clear breathing space. There was no reply to that opener, and the Dutch team won 1-0.

FC Midtjylland to Beat SK Sturm Graz (2.30)

Midtjylland had this in the bag early on, with Dreyer opening the scoring after 15 minutes and netting a second later on. Despite the relatively comfortable win, this game had the highest odds of the whole accumulator’s selections.

Trabzonspor +0.5 vs Ferencvaros (1.19)

Another 1-0 win with a handicap in place — an easy result to keep the accumulator going.

6 UEFA Conference League Bets

Although the UEFA Conference League is the little brother to the Europa League, it played a significant part in this bet:

Istanbul Basaksehir -1.5 vs Hearts (1.58)

At 3-1, this choice looked a lot closer than it was. Basaksehir had it in the bag early on. They dominated possession and were 3-0 up going into the final minutes.

FC Pyunik +1.5 vs FC Basel (1.33)

Basel went 2-0 up before the half-hour mark and nearly killed this bet, but then Ndoye was shown a red card, and the game swung into the home team’s favor. Pyunik pulled a goal back on 71 minutes and won the bet.

AZ Alkmaar +0.5 vs FC Dnipro (1.19)

Although it looked like an easy one on paper, this one went close, with the Dutch team only just scraping a 2-1 victory in the end.

CFR Cluj to Beat KF Ballkani (1.44)

Ballkani dominated possession in this game. They also had more shorts and successful passes. But games aren’t won on paper, and an early goal for Cluj was enough to get the win and keep this bet going.

Djurgardens IF to Beat Shamrock Rovers (1.48)

A close game that could have gone either way but ultimately went to the home side, which secured a 1-0 victory.

Freiburg +0.5 vs Qarabag FK (1.74)

Despite going 2-0 up after 15 minutes, Freiburg made this much harder than it could have been for our bettor. In the end, they won 2-1, but the away team had multiple chances to take the points.

2 Segunda Division Bets

There were just two bets here, but they served to round off the wager nicely:

FC Cartagena +0.5 vs Malaga CF (1.90)

The third-biggest pick looked like a great choice when Malaga went a man down on 22 minutes. Cartagena took the lead after 51 minutes, was pegged back 10 minutes later, and then struck the winner with less than 15 minutes to go.

Sporting Gijon +0.5 vs Albacete (1.27)

Few of these bets were easy, but this was probably the toughest. Despite the low odds, it very nearly went against our bettor. Albacete was 2-1 up heading into the final minutes. But an equaliser from Gonzalez secured a point for the home team and kept the bet going for Steph***.
