The 2022 World Cup has far exceeded the expectations of sports bettors. Japan to Qualify (3.80)

Many expected the Japanese team to fall at the first hurdle. But after picking up 3 points against Germany and then beating Spain in the final group game, they earned a ticket to the next round. Unfortunately, that’s as far as they got as Croatia beat them in the Round of 16 on penalties. Still, it didn’t matter for our bettor as they scooped their first win at impressive odds of 3.80.

Croatia to Qualify (1.85)

Speaking of Croatia, the bettor backed their team to make it through the group stage. It was a close-run thing after draws with Belgium and Morocco, but they made it through on the back of a 4-1 win against Canada.

England and USA Dual Forecast (1.90)

A dual forecast bet is when you back two teams to make it through. In this case, those teams were England and USA. These cross-Atlantic rivals were the favorites to go through, but with Iran and Wales in the group, it wasn’t as easy. The group went down to the final day and the last minute. England progressed smoothly, but the USA relied on a single Pulisic goal against Iran to take them through.

Argentina and Poland Dual Forecast (1.72)

After their opening loss to Saudi Arabia, it seemed like Argentina would falter. Poland also struggled, losing to Argentina and drawing against Mexico. But both teams made it through in the end, with Poland making it to the last 16 on goal difference.

France and Australia Dual Forecast (2.62)

Everyone expected France would pass the group stages, but most expected Denmark to follow them. However, the Aussies grabbed two wins and 6 points, earning a place in the Round of 16 behind France. Unfortunately, their form didn’t last, and they were beaten by Argentina. But they made it out of the group, and that’s all that mattered for this bet.

Brazil and Switzerland Dual Forecast (1.50)

With two wins each, Brazil and Switzerland advanced to the next round. This was the shortest-priced addition to the bet, and it was probably the one that caused the least amount of stress for our bettor.

Portugal and South Korea Dual Forecast (3.75)

Another shock and another huge win! This time it was South Korea that outperformed expectations to qualify behind Portugal. Brazil did a number on South Korea in the last 16 but making it through the group was an epic achievement. The odds reflected the grand achievement of South Korea.

Senegal and Netherlands Dual Forecast (2.75)

Ecuador could have spoiled the party by advancing alongside the Netherlands, who scored 7 points. But Senegal secured passage in the end, only to get knocked out by England in the last 16.
